Samsung Galaxy A07 launched: Helio G99 and 6 years of OS updates

Samsung quietly introduced the Galaxy A07 (4G). Even though it deserved a bigger launch, the phone brings major upgrades compared to the Galaxy A06, significantly improving its longevity.

The Galaxy A07 is powered by Helio G99, a chipset that may not be new but is a huge leap from last year’s 12nm G85. Built on a 6nm process, with Cortex-A76 CPU cores and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, performance is much stronger.

Most importantly, it ships with Android 15 / One UI 7 and will receive 6 OS upgrades, while the A06 only had 2. The device also has IP54 splash resistance for extra durability.

The 6.7-inch LCD display now supports 90Hz refresh rate, while resolution stays at 720p+. The front camera features an 8MP f/2.0 sensor.

On the back, it carries a 50MP main camera (f/1.8) and a 2MP depth sensor, supporting 1080p@30fps video recording.

Other key specs include:

  • Dual SIM 4G
  • microSD slot
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C 2.0

The 5,000mAh battery supports 25W fast charging. Dimensions: 167.4 x 77.4 x 7.6mm, weight 184g.

The Galaxy A07 was announced in Indonesia, with storage options from 4/64GB to 8/256GB. In Ukraine, the 4/128GB variant costs UAH 4,700 ($115/€100), while in Indonesia it’s cheaper at around $85/€75 (due to local taxes).
